It's a mk3 Cortina, dad had one, dark green with a tan roof. In fact, over the years he had one of each & then ended his ford motoring with a Consul, the same as was in The Sweeney ๐Ÿ˜Ž The Sweeney then went to the Granada, but the programme was still good, for the times. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I didn't know that! I remember Marc Bolan/T Rex died in a Mini.

Yes, dad's was the 70s version. His cars before the Fords mentioned were a Ford Pop, a Ford Anglia & a Veewee

I would say it was a mk2 Cortina too

@Freesia123, an ex had a bright yellow Anglia, it was his pride & joy, mind you, I liked it too. A previous ex bf had a Sunbeam Rapier. Mum had a Moggy, lovely car that. I had a soft top Triumph Herald as my first car. No wonder I love classic cars!

But never heard of an Austin Kimberly, @SwiftFox, take it from the name, it's an Aussie mobile.

I bought this 'diamond' necklace for my lovely mum for 'Mother's Day' in March 1974 when I'd just turned 11, the shop let me pay for it over c 4 weeks out of my pocket money; I'm sure it was only around ยฃ1.50 ! I remember the year well as was trying to save up for stationery for secondary school I started in Sept '74. Mum kept it with her bits of 'good' jewellery and wore it on every special occasion since ๐Ÿฅฐ. I got it when she passed in Dec '22 and put it next to my candles tomorrow on 'Mother's Day'.

The sweet thing is I thought it was quite realistic, bless.

Thanks ! It was the only Mother's Day I'd bought her something to keep. It was usually Black Magic chocolates, handkerchiefs and daffodils, bought over 2/3 weeks or it would wipe out my 50p a week pocket money. Well, we got 50p if dad had done overtime but less otherwise ๐Ÿคฃ. Lovely memories though, wish I'd asked her what she really thought of her necklace but the fact she wore it for special occasions (even my wedding in '89) meant it was special to her. Funny enough, the cheapest gift ever but the most precious. I might even wear it tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜.
