Ooh never thought I'd see one of these again. Used to get a frozen one from the little shop near my high school, and a meat & potato pie for lunch...... and a cigarette for 2.5p from the post office where they were sold separately 🤭😁

I'm ashamed to say I used to do that too, the 'shop keeper' even used to put them in one of those little white sweet wrappers too. Then a pack of those tear off flip carboard matches!

Can you imagine that happening nowadays, it just wouldn't would it...and a post office of all places ... 😂. They made a major profit, 2.5p was for a king size and 2p for a normal size ha ha. Sadly, they're all probably on fruit flavoured vapes now and as accessible as cigarettes were then.

Reform are saying that in the unlikely (I hope) event they get in, they're on about banning smoking in general, which will never happen, the government gets too much tax from the sale of Cigarettes, I am strongly against smoking in general though, having lost close relatives on both sides of the family to smoke related illness.

Yes very unlikely that will ever happen, as you say too much tax from sales. I smoked from a very young age but gave up 25 years ago. It is very hard for a lot of people to do! I thought I would have been a smoker for the rest of my life, but I was ill in 2001 which put me off smoking, so some good came out of it!
