I remember my primary teacher not amused by my left hand use.. hehe. To share…The Old Testament Bible informs us: The Tribe of Benjamin people were left handed to gain an advantage.

Gosh you've just reminded me of using proper ink pens with cartridges! I found my scrapbook from when I was young and on a WRVS holiday and always seemed to draw the head separately on animals like this sheep, my excuse is I'd never seen a sheep before!

My mum was left-handed and was made to write with her right-hand at school. She mirror wrote messages for us that we held up to a mirror to read. She could knit and if she made a mistake could unknit going the other way as quickly as she could knit (wish I could do that). She was very creative and artistic.

@gothchick56 is right about it being thought of as evil. The Latin word for the left-side is sinister! The right is dexter (as in dexterity). As most people are right-handed it was considered evil to be left-handed and schools forced children to change. This wasn't limited to schools here, It seems there are still some countries where it is considered a problem https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/two-thirds-of-the-world-still-hates-lefties-64727388/ That's really awful in the 21st century.

I like to be different or an occasional witch, as I'm ambidextrous & oddly enough, my youngest niece is too. My best friend can mirror write & at the same speed as regular, with her it is weird as she's dyslexic, but not when mirror writing.
