Meniscus tear
Hi about 7 years ago while squatting down to take a tray from the oven I stood up heard a pop and felt excruciating pain in my knee but it only lasted a minute, well my GP referred me to physio who said I had a minor meniscus tear and with excersis and walking it went away until a few months ago it happened again and since then it happens regularly but always pops back .Im always careful now when bending but 2 hours ago it popped but this time it never went back so my son's both personal trainers got me to lie down and I'm icing and resting it since. I still can't put pressure on it I can't stand or lift my leg without excruciating pain . I am hoping with rest it will be ok🤞 anyone with a similar injury that can advise me id appreciate it. Thanks

You're doing exactly the right thing @Angelannie_1971 - rest & ice are the way forward. The only thing I'd add is to try & rest your leg on a pillow/cushion so it's higher than your heart. Do then try to wriggle your toes when resting & do circles with your feet clockwise & anti-clockwise to aid your circulation.
If things don't improve, then contact your GP, & perhaps ask to be referred for physio again once this acute episode subsides. As someone who suffers from hypermobility (especially my knees) & subsequent arthritic changes, I know that physio has helped me, &, as a retired physio, I now do the exercises I used to teach!
