Should I reinstate my "Pathways to work" meetings?

Given my perceived rep for being racist, and also lack of up to date experience in retail, I've cancelled my meeting with my "Pathways to work" Coach for this Friday afternoon.

However, I still wanna work, and not just because I need the money, although that's a BIG part of it.

Should I ring or email Rosie and ask her if we can reinstate the 2 PM meeting on Friday?

If you want to work then you could definitely try and call them to see if they can keep your appointment. You might have to wait for a new one though. Would this be your first meeting with them?

I did call her last week, but she wouldn't reinstate the meeting, due to my lack of up to date experience (which is not directly my fault) and perceived rep as a racist (which I'm not, I just don't have the patience to translate my strong local accent to Foreigners who speak very broken English themselves)

How are you going to serve 'foreign' customers if you don't have the patience to speak more clearly when necessary? A potential employer may even have a different accent to yours. Patience and tolerance will be necessary for any job in retail nowadays.
