find a company that can help adapt our front door to a keyless entry system
Hi, I’m new to this community and somewhat new to the disabled community. My husband has become disabled due to severe neuropathy following cancer treatment. So I am constantly trying to find solutions to his mobility issues. At the moment, I’m trying to find a company that can help adapt our front door to a keyless entry system. If anyone has experience of a company they can recommend I’d appreciate it.

Hi @SoCalBrit and a warm welcome to the community from me!
As Bluebell linked above, it may be worth be applying for a needs assessment especially if your husbands mobility issues are increasing and this is a good way of accessing more support in general!
I don't have any recommendations personally but I will edit the title of your post so hopefully people who have had their front door adapted see it and can potential recommend and share their experience, hope thats okay!0 -
Oh, that’s so very kind. Thank you Bluebell21 and Mary_Scope. I have to be honest and say that although I am active on social media with friends and family, reaching out to a public community is new territory.
My husband’s disability hit hard and unexpectedly. It has had a huge impact on our once very carefree life. So I’m trying hard (maybe too hard) to find ways of doing as many things as we used to enjoy. So although my question was about front door entry - which is essential - I’d also love to hear from anyone who has found ways to travel. We can’t go abroad (or at least we don’t know how with all his mobility issues). So any advice/theatre/restaurant recommendations all really welcome. We live in SW London but will go anywhere. I’ve become a bit of a disability warrior when it comes to all this. Thank you again for your warm welcome. It means a lot.1 -
