Warm welcome from me too! 😊 Rome's on my list too. So much to explore there! Have you been anywhere else in Italy before @Andy243?

Thanks for the warm welcome! 😊 I haven’t explored much of Italy yet, but Rome is definitely high on my list. I’ve been looking into different Things to do in Rome, and the mix of ancient history, beautiful architecture, and amazing food makes it sound like an unforgettable destination. Hopefully I’ll get the chance to visit soon

You can catch the train from Rome over to Pompei too I think. I've been to Pompei and it's amazing - especially if you like architecture.

That’s a great suggestion. Pompeii is absolutely incredible, especially if you’re into architecture and history. The preserved ruins really give you a glimpse into ancient Roman life. It also ties in perfectly with exploring Rome Attractions, since places like the Roman Forum and Pantheon offer a similar sense of stepping back in time. Combining both makes for an unforgettable experience!

Have you had to consider accessibility when you're planning your trips @Andy243? Do you think Italy is disability friendly?
It would be interesting to hear your experiences as I know many of our members have to do extra planning when they travel

That’s a really important point to raise. From what I’ve seen and heard, accessibility in Italy can be quite mixed, major cities like Rome and Florence have made improvements with ramps and accessible transport, but older areas with cobblestone streets and historic buildings can still be challenging.
It definitely seems like extra planning is essential, especially when it comes to accommodation, transport, and attractions. I’d also be really interested to hear others’ experiences, as firsthand tips can make a huge difference when preparing for a smoother trip.
