Employing an employment support worker via access to work
Good morning everyone, I currently have an access to work support worker, employed through my employer. He is leaving at the end of the month and my employer will not directly employ someone else, they say I've got to do it. I'm not comfortable about becoming a direct employer, can anybody advise on agencies that would employ someone on my behalf. I know who i'm recruiting and I've done a contract. Please help!!

Personally I'd avoid Agency workers like the Plague, I've worked with some in the care sector and to say they were worse than useless 95% of the time would be an understatement.

Hi @ChazWheels20_21 and a warm welcome to the community from me!
Unfortunately I am unable to advise any agencies myself but your local council may have information on agencies that offer these services in your area. It may also be worth contacting Citizens Advice as they have more information on this process and what agencies are available! It's lovely to have you here and I hope you enjoy your time on the community😊
