Closed universal credit claim. Can I appeal?

My universal credit claim was closed suddenly today and I need some advise. The reason was too much capital in a house I wasn’t occupying ( equity of 50 k ). I vacated the property after falling ill and staying with my elderly parents whilst recovering from major surgery. I have returned to the property after 6 months away. I can no longer add messages to my uc account as it has been closed.. any advice would be great. Thanks in advance
