Dear Cat, [Picture of Alex Sobel MP, a male MP in his early 50s with curly dark hair] We're excited to invite you to our next All-Activist Call, which will take place in just one week, on 31 March at 6.30pm. We will be joined by a very special guest: Alex Sobel, Labour MP and Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Fair Elections. The Representation of the People Bill has past its Second Reading. The debate saw MPs from across the House stand up to speak out for electoral reform. The inadequacy of First Past the Post was also brought up last week at Committee stage. What can MPs - and activists - do next? What mechanisms do we have to influence the Bill? How do we make sure Proportional Representation is front and centre of the conversation? This event will be an opportunity to hear more about what's happening in Parliament and ask any questions you have about the APPG's work. Inevitably, we will also talk about the current political [continues in next screenshot] [continued from previous screenshot] current political climate ahead of the May elections, and what they could mean for the campaign for PR. The next few months could be crucial - let's discuss how we can have the most impact. We're really looking forward to seeing you there. With hope and dedication, Caroline (Make Votes Matter) Make Votes matter is a single-issue campaign for Proportional Representation in the House of Commons and encourages all parties, candidates and MPs to support PR. It does not endorse any party or candidates. Promoted by Make Votes Matter, 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, WC1N 3AX
