i saw some test ai school classes i think it was in london and think it was a great idea they can make the curriculum to each student, know where they are and what gaps they have and need to learn, how each student learns best and teach them that way, then teachers can focus on teaching kids to be people and social skills they are all lacking

why is everyone so afraid of technology

Because in some ways AI is the root of all evil IMO.

It's used by people who are illiterate to form coherent posts on social media for one.

I mean OK yeah I use it myself to create videos on Google Gemini and 3D models on Meshy (mainly because I suck at Blender).

Am I to understand that you have an issue with people using AI as a tool to help them write posts? And that makes AI the 'root of all evil'?

Kids are being programmed by AI? Really? Could you share where you have read that as I would like to understand.

As for the robot and Melania, the speech was at a summit aimed at "'expanding access to educational tools' and protecting kids in digital environments" and was attended by more than 40 different world leaders.

So you're saying you've personally, firsthand, through interactions with young people, seen them being programmed by AI and losing the art of conversation? Or is it based on what you’ve seen in TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and other social media videos?

I’m sorry to push back and ask more questions, but I believe misinformation and scaremongering can be far more harmful than AI itself. (Although, of course, AI is sometimes used to spread misinformation.)

Misinformation has immediate, real-world consequences and can seriously affect people’s mental health and well-being.

It doesnt stop here AI will take most jobs big cooperations will have AI take over amazon the lot schools hospitals shops its a very slippery slope for humanity yes noting i can or anyone can do my daughter a Data anylis her job will go and what about all the teachers who arent needed anymore

I think it's quite a leap to go from AI having no emotional intelligence to it programming children and causing them to lose the art of conversation.

While I do believe it's wise to be cautious with AI and mindful of how much time young people spend online, and the impact that can have, it's equally important not to spread misinformation as if it’s fact or let fear hinder progress.

Ai has been going since the Alan Turing years from WW2 to today, that's 80 years. Unfortunately it's no good being afraid of it, it's here to stay.

When steam engines and mechanised looms were introduced, there was widespread panic that they would eliminate all jobs, leading to major protests and fear. While it certainly changed the labor industry, it also paved the way for new industries, improved standards of living, and increased productivity.

A similar fear arose with the introduction of cars, as people assumed that all horse-related industries would vanish. While some jobs were of course lost, the global progress made and the new industries and opportunities created were immense.

The same can be said for computers, ATMs, the internet, even books, and so on.

Change inevitably brings disruption, but it also brings growth. It’s not always for the better, but it’s not always for the worse either.
