Your Housing Element will increase to pay your full rent.
Your Transitional Protection will reduce by the same amount, and reduce by the annual uprating amount.

The new increase will be deducted for your TP, when mine went up last year the monthly amount I receive stayed the same as benefit and housing increases are deducted from TP. They only time we will see any increases in new benefits rates in once you have zero TP.
I hope this helps explain all the changes.

Also I forgot to add, they’ll add a message to your journal to report housing increases.
I assume this will be on Tuesday as the 6th is a bank holiday.1 -

As you rent from Social Housing all you need to do is tell them the new amount. They themselves then get your LL to confirm.

If someone gets Transitional Protection with their UC award (not everyone does), the monetary amount of Transitional Protection decreases (by the same amount) when other elements of Universal Credit increase.
Using a basic example:
Transitional Protection £100
UC entitlement increases by £25
Transitional Protection decreases by £25
New TP amount £75.
