Anxious about 30 min call next week after informing long term limited change.
Ive been on long term limited for work due to caring for my mother. Sadly she died last Thursday, I've reported it and now have a 30 min call next week. Does anyone know what will be asked as I am now really anxious about this on top of everything else.

Hi,
Sorry for your loss.
Did you previously have a health element of ESA or UC before becoming a carer?
If not, then unfortunately you will now be classed as a job seeker and expected to look for work. If you have health conditions that limit that then you will need to get a fit note from a GP and start the WCA process.

Am not concerned about the looking for work thing as thats been the plan for after my mother passed the whole time.
My concern is the 30 minute phone call next week and what i would be asked. My head is spinning now with all the funeral planning and now worrying about this call.
Thank you for your condolences.

Hi @Shedgirl99 firstly, I'm really sorry for your loss. I've not experienced this myself but I wouldn't think it's anything to worry about. It'll likely be to get some information to help close the claim down and maybe talk through your options moving forward.
I hope you don't mind but I've made a little change to your title to help members who might have had one of these calls to see it.

They will just confirm that your Carers Element of UC will be ending.
They may also ask you to accept new commitments, which will now include looking for work. Or they may ask you to visit a Job Centre to do that instead.

Thank you all so much. That's reassured me enough to stop worrying.

I'm very sorry for your loss @Shedgirl99. You should receive a run-on period of your carer’s element, and they may discuss this during the call.
They’ll also talk with you about your future plans for work and agree on a reasonable work commitment when you feel ready to start looking.
It’s also a good opportunity to ask what support they can offer to help you find employment, and to raise any questions you have about your claim.
