Yesterday, while in hospital, after my bowel cancer surgery, I received a request from the DWP to update my current rent for the year, even if there is no change.

I didn't bring my desktop which has all the logins for my accounts into hospital with me, I only brought my laptop with me.

So I had to request my login details from the DWP by phone, which I did, immediately that person also wanted to talk about mobilising me back for work?

I am long term sick, I cannot work, terminally ill 2022, I took early retirement due to ill health, 2023 I had an emergency liver transplant, and 7 followup operations for complications, just to keep me alive, multiple other health issues and recently diagnosed with carcinogenic cancer, for which I have just had this operation.

Last night my temperature was 39.3 as the wound from my operation had gotten infected, and still got this person from the DWP wanted to talk about when I am going back to work?

After the first DWP person hung up, another person from the DWP wanted to have an in depth conversation with me about mobilising back into work, they have my medical record and despite saying I was in hospital, had a high fever, they still wanted to have a lengthy conversation with me about going back to work?

Hi @MyHappy256. I'm so sorry they treated you like that. It's shocking that two different people wanted to talk about work after you'd explained your situation. I think for now you need to focus on yourself and resting. You could always make a complaint if you feel up to it once you're feeling a bit better.

Just so you're aware, we've had to remove the image as it was graphic. I hope that it heals soon as it looked incredibly painful.

You're terminally ill and can't work, the DWP doesn't give a toss, they want EVERYBODY to go out and work regardless, to cut the MASSIVE benefits Bill.
