Those in media and government etc talking about cutting welfare. Are they lumping us altogether or 2 child cap lift etc. Surely they can use the money that was for the chagos islands instead

An ideology isn't based on circumstances or indeed logic, there would be calls to slash 'welfare' regardless. Sad but true.

Unfortunately they'd rather spend stupid money on pointless projects than the Welfare of the Nation, that's why the benefits bills are so large.
