UC Rent Query - Parents contributions an issue?
Hi, just a simple one.
I have a Universal Credit Review coming up and whilst I think everything is in order, I'm having slight anxiety over my rent.
My tenancy agreement in my name says my rent is 800 a month and I pay 725-750 of it a month, as my parents pay the remaining 50-75 to help me out, directly to the landlord. I know support from family is allowed and it hasn't come up on previous reviews, but I can't stop thinking about if it's going to be an issue or not.
My Housing element is 775 a month and use the rest to my bills.
Thanks.

Hi @JRW89, welcome to the community. This sounds fine. You can accept extra financial help from other people if you need to, and it sounds like this doesn't even come into your own bank account at any point anyway.
Just explain the situation honestly to them if they ask and it shouldn't be a problem. Hope your review goes by nice and quickly ☺️

They asked about it and it was fine. Review all sorted.
