Hi, my name is Birddog! Is my Green Power jh500 electromagnetic brake broken?

I have GP jh500. It has 3 speed settings. Say if I have it set on 2. 0-8 mph. If I’m coming down an incline, it will pick up speed up to 8mph although I have the throttle right down trying to to do 2 mph. Also it will not gradually slow down, if I don’t pussyfoot it down very , very gradually it stops very fiercely. Point is after waffling on🤪😎would I be right in assuming this is the electromagnetic brake not working? Thankfully I can use the brakes coming down inclines. Cheers all . Keep safe .

well I also have a JH500 l find my scooter also speeds up going down hill but I have the throttle open but if I release the then it stops quite quickly. If you’re applying the brakes l believe that puts the scooter into a neutral I.e disconnecting the motor
