PIP main disability
Hi, I've been reading about different conditions and susses rates and what to put. I have, like many people, multiple conditions. I need to read through my bumph from last time, but I remember being advised to put the highest success rate, as apposed to what I think is most important…this seams wrong to me. this is where it all starts to be the point game and not about the person at all. I get so made and angry I cant fill it in at all and just get really ill.
So why do they want a 'main' condition. I don't have one, I have many. I think last time I wrote it as a list and asked them to pick as this infuriated me so much. I do now have more to add to the list. I said I was also dyslexic and lists and priorities are at conflict with this condition. I think I put them in a mind map diagram…in word
I think I also put on my form that I insist they read all of my written evidence. apparently this helped me when it came to the high court and it was proved that not all of my evidence had been read, they said there was to much and it was costly to go though…I replied with, how much is the high court costing the tax payer…I won. my phone call assessment was classed as unlawful. it was really stressful as I did it on my own, the local help centre wouldn't back me as they didn't think I would win…hummm.
I was born with dis congenital hip disease.
I'm hypomobile.
(I've tried to get a diagnosis of EERDs, I'm in the middle of trying again.)
M.E.
Fibro
degenerate arthritis in all my joint practically both thumbs and wrists.
All my joints are affected.
Chronic migraine ( new diagnosis from last time.)
Depression & anxiety
Dyslexia
Irlens syndrome
I've lots of evidence for brain fog, taking a long time to do anything, both hand being compromised and all joints being affected. plus its all degenerative.
Recently I've been told I have thyroid disease, (I'm waiting for there emergency response. 5-10 working days…months ago. I can't get a response from them…) I've a large lump resting on my wind pipe.
tomorrow I have actually got an appointment with sleep therapy. they are two years in responding to me, its a joke…
I'm pretty sure I've more than enough to cover all there points request. its getting it down to have the least impact from being turned down or having an assessment.
In the past I've had both phone call and physical assessment deemed unlawful and I'm very very reluctant to put myself in harms way again. I want to request a paper only, but I'm not sure I can do that…

Is there a word document of the questions anywhere? Or will I have to type them all in? PIP reviw form.

There's a lot to pick through here, and you certainly do have a number of conditions which, especially combined, no doubt do affect your functioning! Firstly, you can, on the form, just type in "see additional sheet labelled Question //////" then on that sheet, make sure you have your name and national insurance number (and on every document you send) - then you're able to type more than woud fit in the box.
In terms of you having a lot of evidence - I don't know what you did last time, but it helps to focus the assessor/case manager if you can refer to specific letters and paragraphs - for example " arthritis in my hands and finger joints means that my grip is compromised, see letter from Rheumatology dated /////, paragraph as marked" then on the letter by that paragraph, note the corresponding question number. In an ideal situation, they should read through it all but in reality they probably don't…. as much of the content might not be relevant. So directing them towards what is relevant, might help? Just my thoughts - I'm no expert!
Lastly, if you feel you have included the right information and have tied in the corresponding evidence, you definitely can ask for a paper based assessment. I would also enclose a copy of the Tribunal decision and ask that that is also considered. I hope this helps, or that others can help, best wishes.
