Unusual pets 🐝🐘🐊🐧

If all the animals in your house (think pictures, prints, soft toys, game pieces, decorations, etc.) came to life, what unusual pets would you now have?

I heard this question on the radio and found I have far more animal-themed things than I realised.

There are probably more, but I would have:

  • Penguins from my Christmas decorations
  • A lot of crocodiles (my favourite animal, I have a lot of crocodile themed-things)
  • A couple of elephants
  • And lots of bees

I have a dragon (she’s friendly), a bat, hedgehog and at the moment lots of bees and butterflies that I’ve crocheted for an event in my local community. They will be flying away in a few days!

I have cute ducks and a penguin in my bathroom but my polar bear Christmas decorations would eat them! 😩

    Love this question @Mr_Shoes_Tied!

    I'd have 3 elephants, 6 monkeys, 1 bear, 1 hedgehog and 2 greyhounds🀣 A very interesting zoo!

I don't really consider myself an animal person. This question has made me realise just how many I have without even realising!

I guess the most unusual would be a few unicorns! 😲

(I bet most of you also some if you look closely enough!πŸ™‚ )

This is such a great question! I would have several dogs, two bears, a snail, two rabbits, a colourful bird, a pig and a whale 😁

I genuinely thought I wouldn't have any but have been a few unicorns here too!

We would have lots of cats, dogs, fish, a unicorn, and an elephant! I would also have Snoopy and his girlfriend (I can never remember the name), and also Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors. I wouldn't last long if she came to life πŸ˜‚

@jonf I love how the cat has a dedicated space in your car. I imagine if you ever changed car that would be one of the top things you'd have to make sure to have on the next one 😊

Oh my goodness @jonf, how cute!

Do you have a favourite type of elephant @rubin16? I can imagine that multiple of them in the house would be quite messy!

I don’t know much about elephants, only that they are left or right handed and by looking at their tusks you can tell.

my nice new car. Look behind my vehicle . I used to drive from DRC on the border with Zambia to Cape Town every month across the Kasangula old ferry at Vic falls.

maybe google a place called Elephant Sands Botswana as I am sure they have live webcams of watering holes. Elephant sands was my half way to home stop-off,
plenty of ellies there and you are very close to them..

    @jonf

Africa, that's interesting! Are you the person who posted about a new house several months ago, with something along the lines that you have no neighbours for miles?

yes I used to have a property on Dartmoor but had to move because it was too remote and not accessible by normal vehicle in winter. the closest landmark was Fernworthy.

    Absolutely love my new home.

I don't know if this counts because these were real pigeons wanting to be pet pigeons but I turned one away yesterday and three this morning! They called me into my bedroom then left through the window without a fuss 😊
