What Moves Us-An opportunity for people aged 16 to 21 with a physical disability
We’ve had a request from a producer at SBX Studios, the production company behind documentary projects including The Race is On for Comic Relief (BBC1) and A Fighting Chance with Anthony Joshua (Snap Originals).
They’re working on a new YouTube documentary series called What Moves Us, made in partnership with Toyota and their Every Body Moves campaign. This is fronted by para-athlete and broadcaster Billy Monger.
The series follows Billy, who is currently in training for the LA 2028 Paralympic Games, as he uses his personal network to connect a group of young people with inspiring sporting experiences tailored to their individual journeys. Billy will be their mentor.
At its heart, the series is about the power of sport and community to help people through life's hardest moments, and the difference that the right connection at the right time can make.
They are looking for young people aged 16 to 21 who have a physical disability. They want to hear from people who have a passion for sports or a desire to get active. Or have lost access to sports or the outdoors.
Maybe the person could be interested in sports but hasn’t been able to take up one, due to the barriers in their way. This could be lack of accessible or affordable equipment.
They’ve also said they’d be interested in hearing from people who are not particularly interested in sport but may want to find out more.
People need to be open to new experiences and comfortable being filmed.
Filming is planned for late May and early June 2026, so they’re keen to hear from people soon.
