PIP Review Results

Hi all, I posted a few weeks back as my PIP review paperwork had arrived with DWP mail handlers but not been scanned onto the system. It was eventually received on Monday 2 weeks ago.

I got the 'your PIP review is complete' text yesterday! I waited till today to allow for update time then rang the enquiry line as it tells you the date and amount of any next payment on the automated service before you get thro to an agent. That gave me a date 2 weeks away for the same amount as my current award. So review done in just 2 weeks

No assessment! I'm so, so, relieved not to have had another one. I had hoped for an increase on one element as my pain and mobility (and effects afterwards) have got a lot worse but to be honest I'm so grateful to have anything at all that I'm not going to challenge it.

I don't know the length of award till the letter comes but am hoping it will be more than just over 2 years as it's so difficult getting updated evidence with a lifelong condition when really, as we all know, there is no such thing as nicely timed regular appts with consultants, physios, OT and therapists🙄

On a funny note, I hope I'm actually correct after all this and that the automated line isn't going to suddenly update tomorrow with a zero figure…………

    Can anyone say whether this is visible? Only because it's unusual to have no acknowledgements at all plus I'm feeling particularly invisible at the moment in general which is making me feel a bit pointless :/

    Sorry you didn't get any replies at first @woollywonder! That's reassuring about your PIP result. Fingers crossed your letter comes through quickly (if you haven't already got it!) and that you get a good length of time on it ☺️

    Great news @woollywonder! 5 years sounds like a good stretch too. Fingers crossed everything stays stable over that time and you don't have to worry about it again for a while ☺️

    I hope the MS stays stable! I haven't had relapses for a few years but have what is becoming known as 'smouldering MS' ….. damage to brain and spinal nerves from previous relapses is quietly progressing and so function is being affected on a gradual basis. Can now save up some towards converting bathroom to something more balance friendly!

    Congratulations... this looks like a new practice — yesterday I received an SMS and today I checked online and also the same award (which I'm happy with) until May 2032. Previously it was 3 years.

    My Mum said there was something on TV just the other day about plans for minimum 5 year awards for lifelong conditions, when it is a review…. sensible really in terms of reducing the costs to the public purse of frequent reviews! Congrats on your award as well - some peace of mind for you

    Thanks for that happy thought 😆! I'm hanging in there hoping I get some grandchildren one day…. but more likely Britain will be in more of a state. :(

    Good morning and congratulations on your new award.
    It’s a massive weight of your shoulders. 🥰

    I just received my review for ADP the Scottish equivalent to Pip, I also for the first time got a 5 year award until May 31.

    As for you saving up to get things changed in your bathroom, you should instead apply for a needs assessment with the Social work department and an Occupational Therapist will come out and asses you and see what help your needing, the council will do the work. I hope if I’ve put anything that’s not correct someone will come on and correct me.
