Mandatory process for PIP
Hi I got my PIP letter back and I have not been awarded PIP they own gave me two points. Has anyone else had similar experience and results and what next steps did you take. The mandatory is long and draining how do I prepare myself for this difficult and long process.

@Ashalu17 the first step is the Mandatory Reconsideration (MR). You need to try and get back the points you lost. Go into detail why you deserve those points, letting them know how you struggle with your disabilities per descriptor where you lost the points. If you call PIP they will probably want to progress your MR over the phone, but you are better to write your MR response and send it into the DWP. Why, is because you know and have evidence of what you have sent in, with a phone call you do not know all your points have been written down...!!!

Hi @Ashalu17 - as mentioned above, a Mandatory Reconsideration is best put in writing; just write a letter saying exactly where you feel you should have got points, & why. If you could give a couple of detailed examples as to the difficulties you face such as where you were at the time, what exactly happened & when, & did anyone else witness this that may help. Also identify if there were any consequences to attempting/doing any relevant activity.
Please remember that with PIP it is how you are the majority of the time. Please look to see here any relevant activities:
Please keep your answers relevant to the above descriptors.

Hi @Ashalu17. I'm sorry you weren't awarded. Myself and a lot of members here have been through this process and understand how you feel. You'll find lots of support throughout the process.
As others have said, the next step is Mandatory Reconsideration. Here is some more information on the next steps Chiarieds has linked to the descriptors so you can go through each one and give examples of how you struggle with them.
