Housing association trying to turn private gardens into communal
My housing association has informally discussed turning our long established sectioned off gardens at our flats (fences put in by the housing association) into communal garden... Im so scared and upset as my son uses the safe space to regulate he is autistic and dyspraxic and uses the space so often to calm and feel better and also a shared garden would put him at risk as he is red zone in the assessment for his co-ordination disorder and all of the other children in the blocks are younger than him he also requires the private space without people stepping into his space as that would stop his use altogrther or cause him distress.. has anyone been through this?

Morning @sades101 and welcome to the community. I'm so sorry that they're thinking of making the gardens communal. Have the housing association informed you directly of it? I think that doing this would require a lot of legal paperwork and would take a long time. I'm sure there would be many people like yourself who would be against the decision so they might see it as too much bother.
