Would I be able to cash in my enhanced PIP for a Motability car?

Even though I was medically disqualified from ever driving nearly 23 years ago, and would possibly have to hire a designated driver?

One of the residents here, who was 61 on Tuesday has one, even though he doesn't drive it himself as he can barely walk without a frame.

One of the staff drove him up to Leeds for his birthday celebrations.

So anyway, would I be able to cash in my PIP Awards for a nice little Motability car and maybe hire a designated driver as there's not many drivers on staff?

Hi, yes you can use a designated driver. Here's some information https://www.motability.co.uk/get-support/during-your-lease/cars-wavs/named-drivers . You can add up to 3 so I'm not sure how it would work if you had to ask different people each time.

Just make sure you consider all the costs involved and how having less PIP money coming in would affect you.
