Knee replacement issue - can I blaim disability or funding?
hi, I had a knee replacement just over 2 years and 3 months ago…I knew there was something wrong on day one…passed from consultant to consultant…struggle to walk with a brace and a stick very slowly, have had continuous pain and swelling all of the time and am now waiting for a revision operation to rectify issues. That said I am at a loss as to whether I can claim disability or funding…I am 65 and retired but live odd a small private pension and do not currently claim anything…comments and or advice would be very welcome.

Hi welcome to the community.
You could look into whether you qualify for attendance allowance and pension credit.

Hi @maaaaak
Welcome to the forum!
You should really speak to a benefits expert about this. You can call Citizens Advice Help to Claim Helpline from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday: 0800 144 8 444
Anyone whose not on benefits can call and they can run through your circumstances and tell you exactly what you can get. They'll check if you can get universal credit and then after they'll check for anything else as well (e.g. PIP).
You can read more about this free service here: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/universal-credit/claiming/contact-us-about-universal-credit/
I hope this helps?

Hi @maaaaak and a warm welcome to the community from me!
This sounds very painful, hopefully you won't be waiting too much longer for the operation. It is worth doing the benefits calculator to see what you are able to claim😊0
