LCWRA - Holiday. Fearful i've done something wrong.
Hi all, hope your days are well as always.
I'm going on holiday in late June for a week, yesterday I put the details for this trip into my "leaving GB" section on my account.
I was unsure which reason it would've fell under because in my head the two reasons overlap, so originally I went with the reason: Holiday and the expanded reasoning I put : "I haven't been on holiday in many years and thought the change of environment would be beneficial for my mental health". This is true.
However, after submitting it and thinking on it I went back to change the reason of the trip to family and friends visits. It felt more appropriate to have it be this since it's not just a on the whim solo trip and I have someone and their family out there whomst I know and will be visiting while there. I kept the original expanded reason but added "ill be visiting a close friend and their family during this trip".
I have very bad anxiety issues and am worried this will cause whoever looks at the details to be like "well which is it?" perhaps I'm massively overthinking it (I usually do.) I just don't want to be in any bother. If anybody knows better than I do please leave a comment. I've never been on holiday before while claiming uc and I haven't been on holiday in years anyway (since I was a teen).
Will my going on holiday trigger a reassessment also? My mental health conditions are the same and they aren't suddenly changing because of my trip. I just didn't want to be inside for another year, my depression gets especially bad around summer time because I have always been cooped inside. I just don't want to feel like i'm rotting again.

We could be doing similar at some point, just a weekend down in Port Isaac, Cornwall.

Hi @easybreezypea I have linked you to the Holiday abroad with appointee LCWRA thread.
It should give you the answer you are looking for.
Take care.

Hi @easybreezypea
I should think you would be okay and an assessment wouldn't be triggered by this 😊0 -
Hi welcome to the community.
Its a very beautiful part of Cornwall.
The Cobweb inn is a lovely old traditional pub serving great food and Sunday carvery.
Its lovely to wander around the shops and the river meets the sea.
It tends to get extremely busy and the parking is quite limited.
