Hi, my name is karentg!
Hi, I was awarded lcwra April 13th 2026. My first fit note was dated December 4th 2025 and there have been no gaps in my fit notes. I know you receive no payment for the first 3 months. My universal credit is paid on the 30th of every month. I have received a notification in my payments section of my account stating that my UC will be paid 30th may but still no mention of lcwra payment. I have been informed that I have been awarded lcwra but not how much and when the payments will start. I have asked this several times in my journal but no reply. How do I chase this up, surely they should be including lcwra payment with my UC payment for 30th may. Can someone advise me as to where I go from here, who to contact etc.

Journal notes should be made using the "Payment" option as this goes directly to your case manager.
I have seen elsewhere on other forums that case managers are currently managing very high case loads, and that ringing the UC helpline asking the agent to flag your query directly with the case manager can get a quicker response. They'll be open Tuesday morning due to the Bank Holiday tomorrow.

Thanks, have left a few messages under payments already but no reply forthcoming. Will give them a ring tomorrow morning, thanks for your reply ☺️

Hi, well followed the advice I received on here, rang UC helpline, she flagged my query to a case manager who replied via my journal that my lcwra payments were being looked into and that I would receive any updates in my journal. This is the same reply I received nearly a month ago, seems like they are fobbing me off. I appreciate how busy they are but to still be waiting 6 months after putting in first fit note is not on. I know you have to wait 3 months before payments but how long does it take for them to actually start paying you lcwra

Unfortunately it's not possible to answer that question as it varies so much depending on many factors.
You were awarded LCWRA 6 weeks ago so that's how long you've been waiting for this to be sorted out.
If you are unhappy with the wait you might want to try a formal complaint
