Good afternoon guys

So my daughter turned 16 in Jan this year and has been in receipt of DLA I them applied with PIP .

In April I called them to see if there is any update on the claim...they confirmed that the assessors had everything they need and no assessment needed ...

A month later I have received a text message informing me ( I am her appointment) that will be calling on the 10th June ?

I am so confused..my daughter is now panicking like mad and she has an exam on that day ..

Why tell me there'll be no assessment just a decision? I have been waiting for almost 6 months now

    Hi,

    The call handler shouldn't have told you there wouldn't be an assessment call. They can't possibly know that before the decision has been made.

    You can ask them to change the date away from exams. 6 months wait is not unusual, there are large backlogs in many areas.
