π Pride Month - June 2026 π
Pride Month is celebrated annually in June marking the anniversary of the Stonewall riots. You can learn more about Stonewall riots on this post from last yearβs pride month:
π The History of Pride: The story of Stonewall Inn 1969 π
Pride is a celebration of unity! Of love and friendship, acceptance and equality. Itβs an opportunity for LGBTQ+ and their allies to come together to reflect on how far weβve come and to highlight areaβs where we can improve.

There will be colourful parades celebrating this unity throughout the month and I look forward to seeing these fantastic events!

The Importance of the Progress Pride Flag
The progress pride flag now includes black, brown, pink, light blue and white to represent marginalised people of colour, alongside the trans community and those living with HIV/AIDS. It is shaped as an arrow, which shows progress, whilst highlighting the work that still needs to be done.
The other colours represent:
- β€οΈ Red - Life
- 𧑠Orange - Healing
- π Yellow - Sunlight
- π Green - Nature
- π Blue - Peace/Harmony/Art
- π Violet - Spirit
We hope you all join us in celebration this month. And if you're taking part in an event, or choosing to celebrate in another way, we'd love to hear about it!
