Gov website - trying to sign up to one.gov
hi all I'm sorry if this has been answered already but I tried to set up a One.Gov account, I put in all my information for some reason they said they can't confirm my details which is very strange as I've given the proof before, I have to go to a local Post office to prove my ID is this correct….

That's not ideal @tealhoneydew16. If they're unable to open the account, you might have to. Is your documentation in date?

Do you have a passport or driving licence with a digital photo?
When I did mine, it confirmed ID by scanning my face and comparing that to my driving licence.

Hello @OverlyAnxious @Holly_Scope thank you for your help….
Yes i did provide upto date proof of identity in fact the same I used for UC when I had migrated I'm not sure why u need to do this as it's all date and up to date…

@OverlyAnxious yes I also provided a digital photo and my id that was confirmed…. I'll probably just have to do this as I think I won't be able to otherwise I give all the same id documents I gave to UC when migrated also?

That might be the best option to get this resolved @tealhoneydew16. I've added below a link to the list of acceptable ID documents in case it's any help. Hope you're able to get sorted 😊

The one gov system is separate from UC. You do need to provide ID again for this.
I'm not sure why you've got to go into a post office though. Usually that would be for people who don't have digital photo ID.

thank you so much for your replies I really appreciate it, I think it's because I didn't have my face scanned into the system as I didn't know how to do it I'm not very tech savvy, I h e until 12/6/26 to go to the local post office which I will do although I may need to request another firm due to family member in hospital.
thanks again @OverlyAnxiousYour advice is greatly appreciated ☺️

The web site works perfectly well, I had no idea how to scan my passport onto it till I found someone to help. Not everyone has someone to help. There is no need to keep putting the government and other official departments down.
