Hi all anyone have timeline for ADP decision when targeted evidence has been provided. It’s been 10 weeks

    ADP is the Scottish equivalent to PIP. (Adult Disability Payment)

    Unfortunately there is a big backlog at the moment so it's very hard to say but hopefully you won't be waiting too much longer😊

    LP16. This is my experience. It took my claim to be assessed 18 weeks. They did write to inform me of that. It takes longer because in Scotland you agree to allow them access to ALL medical records.. they are thorough and go over all of these. Also you can name 3 medical experts on the form , again they do follow this up? I recall getting first payment in approx six months after applying! They will backdate all monies due to you if you are successful. I went up to enhanced payment and had my points increased. There was a backlog at the time because the ADP review and rollout had just happened? So claims were taking months. ADP is managed by Scotland so although its findings inform the national Timms report about PIP, we did our own review and system in 23/24. My 24 award was for five years. I have both physical and mental disabilities. Hope this helps but you can give them a phone to check progress?

    Dear ADP members,

    I would also add that 22/3/4.. Scotland transitioned to ADP.. this is the Scottish equivalent of PIP. Hope this proves helpful. There are differences. Respect, acknowledgement and individual narrative became important. The focus was on cutting administration and verifying claims. So all Scottish ADP claimants give over all their medical records to be assessed. All hospitals reports, meds, clinics etc. This works. How Scots do this is informing the Timms report? Individual testimony is important but so is medical history as documented. Proof led benefits? I’ve been through system and it works? I worked for several decades, then couldn’t? I asked to be assessed under ADP and had enhanced disability. All doctors, psychologists, hosp reports, attendance and meds verified. Yep I could prove that I couldn’t work. PIP needs to do what ADP does.. but withholding medical records or no history won’t work? Let the system view your history.I believe in proof led benefits…that’s honesty, verity and fairness.
