Anyone obtained supportive expert opinion?

Has anyone obtained a supportive expert opinion in a case involving post-surgical necrosis, delayed treatment, no antibiotics, and later sepsis? What evidence convinced the expert that earlier intervention would have changed the outcome?

I think that all documented facts related to this issue, including dates and times of calls, requests, and the like, would be important for the experts.
