Nope. Nationalism is prefect fodder for fascists, and will further destroy the UK.

No absolutely not, we don't need more fascism in the UK nor brainwashing young children.

I fought for your freedoms and gave 28 years of my life. Half of the civilians in the uk have no idea what goes on behind the scenes to ensure what little we have left

I'm proud of my National Anthem. And the fact it's taught to kids in Primary school.

As for Fascism … does loving your Country and it's heritage make someone a Fascist? . The Welsh have been oppressed for centuries by kings, queens and governments so who can blame us for loving our Country. If it's Nationalism so be it. Cenedl heb iaith, Cenedl heb galon ( a Nation without a language is a nation without a heart)

Yma O Hyd sums up Welsh nationalism perfectly … it may not be our anthem but it's in our souls … and I for one make no apologies.

Similarly … If someone wants to sing God save The Queen and hang the red white … I fail to see how that makes them ALL right wing. ? They can't be. Law of averages surely

@jonf … thanks for the service in protecting our freedoms

I can't even remember the melody my memory is that bad.

I voted no as I don't see what the point is in trying to force patriotism onto anyone, kind of goes against freedom. How much or how little someone is patriotic should be down to that individual.

No thank you, I went through the US school system primary school age and no one not even my American parent warned me what would be expected from day 1 and every single school day afterwards 👎🏻

Teach the words by all means and use it occasionally but not all the time.

I don't know all the words and I don't speak Welsh but I know the melody and the big chorus😄 I recently went to my first Welsh womans rugby game and they played this and it was a very proud moment.

I agree with you @WelshBlue, that is a very powerful song. It always reminds me of the Lauren Price's ring walk. What an amazing Welsh athlete.

I know it - I even remember the second verse! I might forget to change queen to king though

I do. I think it's been engrained in me from childhood alongside all the school and church songs. It still feels more natural singing "queen". I think because it's all I've known until now.

Also, often randomly get these childhood school/church songs stuck in my head. Ones like - "he's got the whole world in his hands", and "kumbaya"
