Yeah I always get a bit sad for whoever doesn't win, I'm glad England did but the first half especially it didn't feel like we deserved it.

I think England were fortunate to get through as well.

We now have the agony of having to watch them again.

Almost switched after the first 20 minutes, gritted my teeth, and stayed with England. That was a hard watch for England fans, though! Phew!

Oh no, we now have to watch them against Mexico at their home stadium next, I will need valium before that one! 😩

Really impressed with how USA go forwards. There’s running in the channels, forward passes, fluid interchange of positions of the forwards and midfielders and there are even Alexander-Arnold style cross-field passes from right to left

I must admit I was on the edge of my seat with the England game last night. I had resgined myself to thinking the world cup run had ended then Harry Kane surprised me not once but twice. Impressive and now it's going to be a late night on Sunday night awaiting the Mexico game at 1am. Good job I'm retired and don't have to worry about getting up on Monday morning lol.

I was the same @Johnboy412000! Kane is so impressive, his goals were amazing. Glad that you'll be able to watch the next game. I don't think I'd make it, I like to be in bed by 10pm! What do you think the result will be?

@Rachel_Scope I usually go to bed around 11:30pm to 12pm. I'll probably grab a kip in fhe evening on Sunday. It will be a tough game for England cos it's claimed to be 7000 feet above sea level which suits the Mexicans cos they are well used to it where as England haven't enough time to get aclimatised. Hopefully they'll survive and I'd like to see it done in 90 mins. Be a pain if it goes to extra time and penalties. 90 mins it would be done by 3am.

I was walking to the train station yesterday evening when the England match was playing and there were such a big roars from the pubs when England scored. I've never seen so many English football tshirts in Wales!!!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I hope there's no extra time too @Johnboy412000. It makes me too nervous. I didn't know about the high altitude. Hopefully we can cope ok with it!

    Afternoon all,

The knockout rounds continue tonight with three more matches.

    8pm (BST): Spain (@Scooby222 and @ripple) v Austria (@FloridaDino)
    12am (BST): Portugal (@luvpink and @mellybobs) v Croatia (@Rachel_Scope and @tsureshan)
    4am (BST): Switzerland (@Mr_Shoes_Tied and @gothchick56) v Algeria (@corblimey)
