Lcwra WCA - Felt like assessor was answering for me

hi hope everyone doesn’t mind me

Putting this here . Just a quick low down of what’s happened , so I had a lcwra interview in around 2021, and was awarded lcw , things then changed and I noted my change in my journal in November 2024 ,then was sent another f50 I think it’s called to fill out , anyway I filled it out and sent it back for December 2024 , in the meantime was approved for full pip for 5 years , but it’s now 2026 and I got my form for pip 4 weeks ago or less and had to return it back for the 13th June for my re assessment of pip ,I had it all sent back for about the 7yh cos I record delivered it , and I also got my work capability assessment for today the 11th June ,

Has anyone had this at pretty much the same time ,

I’m a nervous wreck , anyway today on my work capability assessment I felt like she was just agreeing with me and mostly saying words to make it sound like it was positive , such as she’d say is that everyday yes and so on about everything , I felt like she was answering for me if that make sense , but now I’m literally panicking thinking I’ve failed , she said she’s gonna write up my final decision today and I’ll know in a week or two , I just feel like my luck I’m gonna get the decisions roughly at the same time ams its gonna be negative on both

, and don’t know how I’ll feel if I don’t get awarded especially on my pip , it’s just so much for one week to have them both at the same time . I felt like she had my pip form in front her because when

I filled out my form in 2024 I never mentioned a walking stick but I did on my pip form that I e just sent back , and today she said you said u use a stick , but I hadn’t mentioned that to her at that time until she spoke about ? Can they use the same forms for both ? I’m so anxious I won’t sleep now till I know . Sorry for the long post I hope someone can help me , I think my question is has anyone felt like it went well but gets a negative response

Out of all of WCA the assessments I've had I think there was only one where the assessor was like yours where she was kind of answering the questions for me and in a positive way, like, 'So it's impossible for you to do that' and 'so it's basically everyday when you struggle' etc, and I ended up being classed as not fit for work. So I don't think the assessor being like that is necessarily a bad sign at all.

Hi @Virgo_, both assessments coming at once sounds like a lot, it's no wonder you're feeling stressed about it! Hope you managed to get a bit of rest last night.

It's so hard to tell with the assessors but I hope it's a positive sign that she was understanding what you said to her.

As far as I'm aware, there isn't very much information sharing between PIP and UC at the moment and the assessments are fully separate. So it's unlikely that she had seen your PIP forms. Would your stick have been mentioned in any evidence that you submitted?

Fingers crossed you hear back soon and get the result you're hoping for ☺️

no I’d not mentioned the stick because I only started

Using it this last year and had not mentioned it to anyone else other the pip form when I returned it , it just seemed odd , so I did think she may have had access to it but maybe not I don’t know , and thank you I did sleep ok and funnily enough woke up feeling revitalised, like thank god it’s both done now , however that didn’t last for long cos now I’m just wondering what the outcome will be ,

    It’s alot of anxiety ,

But I’ll just have to crack on with it and wait tbanknuiu for replying xx

omg Ross this gives me some hope thank

You , because that’s exactly how she sounded she was pretty much saying it for me and I was like yeah ,

Especially when I said about pain med and I was saying it helps and when I said but, to carry on the sentence and she said but like it takes the edge off but it’s still really bad , I probably would have worded it different , thank you for replying I feel like this had given me a glimmer of hope , I mean in all honestly I’m on lcw as it stands and now the job centre only ring me every 3 months so it’s notThat bad but I could just do without it all , thanks again

just to let you know my pip was successful, I had a text this morning at 8.30 to say a decision was made and I’d have a letter within two weeks. So I called them and got through to a lovely lady who confirmed it was staying exactly the same till 3032 , I’m so happy one less struggle now , but now I’m just waiting for my lcw outcome , im still happy tho less anxious but still anxious if that makes sense . I just wanted to tell you xx

that’s brilliant , makes such a difference not having to worry for this period of time now ,

I really thought I’d loose it cos I keep hearing horror stories about people getting taken off it , but yes it’s a relief , well done to u too ,
