Doctor told me struggling to breathe was mental health

After months and months of testing I realised I wasn't sleeping...

I knew in the past I had a thyroid/Graves disease etc Used to spending my weekends in the Resus department in A&E (meaning your heart is not doing well etc

I decided to askI decided to ask my doctor for a blood test, after my other doctor said it was all mental health related.... To find the blood test results showed I was very seriously ill ... For some random reason I was not sleeping for at least 24 hours from nine till one in the morning feeling nothing not even feeling tired

... Doctors always say sometimes it's mental health related I hate it when they play that card...

I remember being in Resus department in A& E and a lot of people would get turned away because simply they didn't have any symptoms but they're in dreadful pain ...it's just so wrong

That sounds rough @Girluk55, sorry you had to deal with that. I think many of us have faced dismissive doctors over the years and it's not nice to feel like you're not being taken seriously.

Are you still struggling with the breathing problems now?
