i would like to learn more about autism to be able to understand my 3 year old son is there any online courses

    Honestly the best courses you will find will be on Youtube. I know some post diagnostic groups exist however these are region specific and depending on your local NHS, you should of been given information if these exist when your son was diagnosed.

    Hi @christopher24, welcome to the community. It's lovely that you're working hard to understand and support your son. Has he been diagnosed quite recently? How are you feeling about things?

    You could take a look at the National Autistic Society's Autism Services Directory: https://www.autism.org.uk/autism-services-directory

    Sometimes they'll have listings for courses or local support groups to meet other parents and children.

    As Rubin16 mentioned, there's also a lot of resources on YouTube. It can be helpful to seek out some videos made by Autistic people as they'll have more personal insight about what life was like for them growing up and what might be helpful for parents to know.

    I would recommend the Open University Understanding Autism Course It's free and a great starting point for those wanting to learn more about Autism.
