Pip advice!

Hi everyone.

I started my claim on 28th Jan 2026, had my telephone assessment on 21st April 2026, they received the report on 23rd April 2026, I have contacted pip mine today and they confirmed that my case is with a case manager, they don't see a reason for delay, but they can only give me a timeline of a few weeks, they did however put a flag on my file for priority. Has anyone else had this and how long did a decision take?

Thanks

Dave

That sounds like a very productive call! I've not experienced this personally but now it's priority, I'd imagine it'll definitely be within the few weeks they've quoted.

Thanks Holly. I've had a nightmare with them, my telephone assessment documented all my day to day problems, but the assessment report award 0 points. I had a face to face wca 2 days after the telephone assessment, they recorded the same daily struggles and actually witnessed my problems, declared me severely disabled and awarded lwcra. I've uploaded my uc85 to my claim for pip along with other GP documents etc, just hoping the case manager looks into it properly, the phone report is full of contradictions

That’s so bad , I know how you’re feeling. My claim for PIP and ESA went in at the beginning of Jan this year , still no news apart from acknowledging my fit notes and telephone medical assessments, so time wise I’m similar to you . My work coach has checked for me and still no updates and I rang the helpline today, basically it’s a matter of time , it’s all very stressful and anxiety causing because we don’t know the outcome. Over 6 months is a long time it feels cruel , I guess it’s more waiting but I’m sorry you’re going through this and hope you have answers very soon.
