UC - Made a mistake declaring bank balance. Will they realise?

will UC realise that I made a mistake declareing bank balance and there system will know . I’m on pip and lwrca . I don’t work . I’m a bit over 6000 . I don’t think pip counts income

    Hi @flathandsem and welcome to the community. I would recommend contacting them via your journal to explain your mistake. They may then deduct £4.35 for every £250 you were above the £6,000 from your next payment.

    It's always best to be upfront as they may pick up any discrepancies in a review.

    PIP is not counted as income for Universal Credit purposes. However, any unspent PIP money is treated as capital. Therefore, you must declare all money held in your bank accounts.

    You can update your capital at any time through your online Universal Credit account.

    As long as you're not on more than £16K they won't care.

    I don't think you need to worry.
