I'm a disability advocate and am part of Scope’s Storytelling Team and the MS Society's Disability Panel amongst other things.

    I am looking to see if there is a Disability Festival or anything in Wales as oart of Disability Pride?

    It's on Friday 10th July, 12 to 3pm in Cardiff

    There is also a Wales Disability Pride event on Monday 20 July in Cardiff Library. I'll be attending that one.

    Lisa Thomas, the Wales Community Adviser can give you further details.

     Thanks for you interest :) We have two Disability Pride events this year -  Friday 10th July - 12-15:00 - Community Event - V21 Sbectrwm In collaboration with SCOPE , V21 , Arts Active & Cardiff Council Wellbeing Service we would like to invite you for a cuppa, craft and cake to celebrate Disability Pride.Other planned activities include - Communal art piece and discussion about disability pride, BSL, Tai Chi and drum taster sessions.V21 Sbectrwm Centre is a fully accessible, inclusive community space. Featuring on-site parking, a café, garden, and a Changing Places facility. 

    Monday 20th July - 12-16:00 - Community Event - Cardiff Central Library In collaboration with SCOPE, a day of celebration for Disability Pride Month. The Central Library aim to have around 20 stall/information tables across the four levels of the library. The library will host a range of activities and talks. With guest Author Gavin Clifton, who will give a reading of his children's book and autobiography of his life and experiences with Cerebral palsy.
