MIxed Couple UC State Pension - Help needed
Good morning - Can anyone help
My husband and I are claiming UC & LWRCA & Carers Allowance but as he reached state pension age on the 20th May I understand things will be changing for us and we will be classed as a mixed age couple. I have a number of questions that I need help with:
I am 62 so will hopefully my claim will continue with UC & LWRCA - what happens to Carers element for us both?
The Pension Service has advised that my husbands monthly SP will be £689 every 4 weeks - the figure on the Gov site says approx £740?
I received a letter from the council saying our council tax support is being suspended due to my husband receiving SP - what do I need to do here?
We also receive service/maintenance charges support from UC - will this still be the case?
What else do I need to do? I am at my wits end and not sleeping as I am so worried that we are going to be financially worse off. I have worked all my life and due to disability can no longer work so have no idea on how to navigate the processes
Any help much appreciated.

As mixed age couples are a complex area to give advice on, I'd recommend contacting a local welfare rights organisation to see a trained benefits advisor.
With CTR you will need to give your Local Authority your new income details once everything is settled. They'll then reassess your CTR claim.
