hi I’m Millie-Jayne I’m blind autistic and have cerebral palsy I’ve struggled with cerebral palsy and autism all my life but I became blind 3 years ago due to a rare brain condition called septo optic dysplasia during my second year of university where I was studying graphic design despite this I still graduated with a BA honours degree I work with the sight loss charity Victa as a changemaker and have done campaigns with RNIB and love being a disability advocate I’m also a TikToker and love sharing my experience as a multiple disability woman online my hobbies include painting this is one thing I never gave up after losing my sight focusing more on abstract now Sophie tea is my favourite artist I also love writing poetry and short stories I play guitar and love doing active and sporty activities too I play showdown a sport for the blind and visually impaired and competed for Sheffield strikers I love going to indoor rock climbing and blind archery

    Hi @MillieJayne what a great introduction - it's fantastic to have you join us. I don't know how you have time for all of this, put's me to shame that's for sure. I love rock climbing too although I'm a bit rusty at the minute. I did drag my harness and shoes out of the back of the wardrobe the other day and going to try and get to the indoor climbing centre soon. Have you been doing it long?

    We support adults with cerebral palsy and host monthly online Zoom meetings, which you are welcome to join. It's a great space to meet likeminded individuals.
