The police don't protect girls like me.
I don't think I'm going to write too much about this...
Expolitation...
Your going through expolitation, and the police never once got in touch, I think because it was online the police were not concerned. I remember when they eventually came to my house, meaning home office forced the police to come round, the very first thing they said was "prove to us you have blocked them"
I had to find a detective myself, to get the NRM referral done.
Charming isn't it
Communication and follow ups
No one tells you what is happening when you report a crime, and when you have been through expolitation you learn what form the police are going to fill out with you. No immediate appointments, no follow ups and each officer has a memorized statement of "I'll tell the officer in charge of your case someone will call - in which they never do
My ex was crazy, I left him straight away when...he threatened to have me kidnapped and raped .. more... I told my local hospital, showed the messages to my hospital and they called 999, I explained to the police after 2 months of NO police attendance after the police were made aware of these events, the police said there is nothing they can do unless I press charges. Which honestly is not true because I have had times where I just say give me safeguarding and police safeguarding call you
I still have NO safety plan if my ex boyfriend turns up at my house, or turns up at my hospital, IOPC police can apologise in which I appreciate but it falls short to the actual problem...where is the safeguarding, for example if my ex turns up at the hospital z what do I do?
I already over 20 times tried and written to police saying I need safeguarding, to find the officer on webchat hangs up on me, especially when I am kind and patient with them.
This has had an impact on me, I went to A&E and this time I was left on an oxygen machine, not fun
