I need some reassurance really, as I suffer very bad with anxiety depression and PTSD after a massive car accident that me my son and husband was in 5 years ago and I lost my husband due to the accident,

But I applied for pop on the 2nd Feb 2025 I have my assessment on the 4th June and then I had to speak to them again on the 11th after that the assessment was done, then got a text on the 13th saying the assessment is being looked at, I then got another text on the 17th June to say that once a fission was made a letter would be in the post and I would receive it within 8weeks, I called yesterday to see if there was any updates and it had been posted out yesterday, but they could tell me if I was awarded it or not, I have to wait for the letter,

I am absolutely sick with worry, it making me feel ill, I got very upset in my assessment as well, I am keep going through my head I haven’t been awarded it 😢

Hi @Lisajay30 and a warm welcome to the community from me!

I'm very sorry for your loss.

That all sounds very standard of the pip process so it's really hard to say what way it will go unfortunately. It can be a very stressful process so it's very understandable why you're feeling so worried.

Hopefully you will receive the letter soon with a positive outcome and are able to put your mind at ease.

It's lovely to have you here and I look forward to seeing you around the community😊

Hi @Lisajay30 and a warm welcome to the community. I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband and all you've been through. It's completely understandable how your feeling - it's a tiring process and important for you.

I wish they were able to tell you on the phone just to put your mind at ease. Hopefully the letter will be with you in the next day or two, and I really hope it's good news for you. I know it's easier said than done, but can you try and find something to take your mind off it - maybe a book or a game or something?

I'm going to send you an email with some additional support information that might be helpful too so please keep an eye out for it.
