I have a 17 month (15 month adjusted) prem baby boy who is likely to have CP and going through the motions of physio and OT and hoping so much that we have minimal impact on his abilities to move independently but only just sitting and rolling : (

Welcome to the community @kbee. It can be a big adjustment when you find our your little one might have a disability. How are you feeling about everything at the moment? Do you feel like you're getting enough support?

We have a wonderful Cerebral Palsy network team, so I'll tag some of them as I'm sure they'll have some advice to share. @Richard_Scope @SaraC_Scope @Lucy_Scope.

    Hi @kbee

Receiving a diagnosis can bring up a mix of emotions, and you need to remember that there is no set way that you should feel.
Your son should be under the care of a paediatrician and should be given access to regular physiotherapy. This will help with his mobility and coordination. We have lots of information about Cerebral Palsy

We do have the Parents of Children with CP Facebook group that you might want to join.

Here is a resource pack that you might find useful.

My colleagues and I (copied in) live with CP too, and we would be more than happy to talk to you over email about your thoughts and concerns. Please remember that you are not alone in your journey.
