I think I'd have about passed out if I'd seen that near me! It's beautiful but I've never seen anything like it and would get in a fuss 😅

I hope you never come into contact with a female horsefly. Their bite is very painful. I always cover up if i have Gus out at this time of year during the day.

I've seen some impressive swellings from horsefly bites … and that's not including someone who got bit somewhere very painful

Years later he still can't explain why he stood there when it was there.

Nature is wonderful. Quite something seeing a 2 inch Larch wasp flying around, knowing it looks vicious but is just gentle and playful
