Sundays??

Does anyone else struggle for things to do on a Sunday? It used to be a day I'd spend with my daughter but she's at the stage where she's busy with friends or her boyfriend most weekends. It doesn't seem like there's even anything on TV on a Sunday? So what do people do?

I'm off work too so any jobs I'd normally leave for the weekend I've done already and I'm now just twiddling my thumbs.

    Indeed.

Especially when I've usually run out of money by Saturday evening.

I don't do anything different any day of the week, and in fact don't always know what day it is. As long as I know the month, i'll settle for that!

I'm going to vacuum and mop the hallway later, then get Gus out. I no longer can manage the whole house, so i've started doing one room at a time.

I like Sundays here, especially when the weather is nice.

I can stroll the short distance to the beach or watch the outdoor bowls.

There's always something going on at the harbour too.

During the winter months the Shanty singers perform free at various venues and we get to sing along.

We have lovely old traditional pubs with log fires where locals get together to socialise and we get to storm watch in the winter.

We gather in social clubs where people can play bingo, quizzes and enjoy a few drinks.
