My son and I are discussing setting up a disabled persons trust for him. We know that many disabled people who have DPTs find that executors can be paternalistic and behave as gatekeepers of the fund rather than enablers. We also understand that the executors can be slow in implementing spending requests in a way that means loss opportunities or other complications. We are in the Brighton area. Can anyone tell us of good experiences with their trust executors. We are taking with Mencap Trust company. Has anyone had experience with them. Also solicitors to set up trust.
