Pip extension due to backlogs
Been reading awards being extended my husband has a 10 year ongoing award issued sept 2016 are these ongoing awards also being extended due to backlogs

Hi @chucky1. They're extending some awards for those over 25 in order to deal with the backlog. Here's a statement about it:
"The regulations simply say: “The Secretary of State may extend the length of a fixed term award of personal independence payment, where the Secretary of State considers it necessary to do so to safeguard the efficient administration of personal independence payment.”"
Have you not received a review letter yet?

No he hasnt his original letter said would contact after oct 26 just wondered if he may get a bit longer

Its more likely that a " light touch" review form will be need to be completed.
