Trustpilot reviews of scope say it all...
When will scope take action on this website?
If you look up the Trustpilot reviews for scope they are shocking, with everyone stating the same issues with the forum. It is Toxic, unfriendly and too many bullies bullying those with disabilities.
How many people have to leave the site, be affected mentally by what's going on? Is it going to take something serious to happen before scope takes action?
To scope, I did think very highly of this charity at a time. However recently and in the few years it has been shocking to say the least. I will no longer support scope as a charity until it starts acting like a charity.

Your first mistake was reading reviews on Trustpilot, most of 'em are complete and utter bobbins for a start.

Normally I would agree, however the reviews on scope generally look legit and have legit profiles commenting about the site. They also mention the same patterns members have noticed on the forum about the bullying aspect and toxicity. When a constant pattern emerges on the forum and across the internet, its clear that these reviews are indeed legit and valid.
When people are mentioning the problems of scope all over the internet, and on this forum and still nothing gets done. There's a serious problem.
It is clear scope no longer cares about its members and have lost touch with its own core values and until something gets done I will advocate against and no longer support scope until its starts acting like a charity again for its members.

To be fair I recently got accused of scaremongering with comments about a certain company's plans for disabled people if they ever become the next government.

I agree with you @rubin16 the forum can be toxic and unfriendly at times and bullying is rife. I think to be fair though the majority of members on the forum are disabled either mentally or physically or both.
Where I think we might differ is who is doing the bullying nevertheless it needs addressing.
I do think that removing posts does not address the issues and almost see it as brushing things under the carpet.
Part of the problem for me is also you report something and you do not even get a response, almost as though what you have reported is unimportant.
I cannot believe that Scope can be happy with the Trustpilot reviews and a score of 1.9 obviously they can have no input on Trustpilot.
However something does need to be done about the atmosphere on the forum then members would have no need to use Trustpilot.
Having been told I should not shut down to avoid confrontation I have now given my opinion.

What the reviews are saying are true though, you, myself, and others all get bullied on here from time to time by a certain group of people, while their posts may sometimes get deleted, and possibly they may sometimes get warnings too for all we know, nothing more seems to get done (like a suspension or being banned, except for one particular user), it almost feels as though they're just allowed to run amok on here.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this discussion.
We understand that members may have seen reviews and opinions about our community elsewhere online, and everyone is entitled to share their own experiences. We are, of course, saddened to read when someone's experience has not met their expectations. We are aware of the reviews that have been shared, including some that have since been removed.
However, we aren't able to discuss or comment on individual reviews or experiences within the community, as this would involve discussing personal situations and moderation decisions that we need to keep confidential. We also don't feel this discussion can remain balanced or constructive when it centres on allegations about individuals.
If anyone has concerns about their own experience or would like to discuss a specific issue, please contact us directly at community@scope.org.uk We'll always do our best to listen and respond where we can.
We've decided to close this discussion. This isn't because we want to avoid feedback, we genuinely value hearing from our members, but because we don't think this thread is the right place to have that conversation.
We have heard you and we are looking at how we can improve communication with members and you can find a feedback discussion on our reporting process here. We'd really encourage you to share your thoughts there so we can gather constructive suggestions and use them to help shape future improvements.
Thank you for your understanding.
